Dessert

For 8 people
Time needed for preparation: 1hr 15mins
Time needed to stand: 3hours

Ingredients

  • 1 generous pinch of salt
  • 7 eggs
  • Zest of 2 raw lemons
  • 1 cube of baking yeast
  • 50g of butter
  • 10cl of orange blossom
  • 250g of sugar
  • Cooking oil

Preparation

  1. Melt the yeast in the melted butter in a glass.
  2. Beat the eggs, the orange blossom and the lemon zest together in a bowl.
  3. In a container, sieve the flour with the pinch of salt before adding the contents of the glass and the bowl until you end up with a ball of dough.
  4. Knead the dough thoroughly on a flour covered work surface.
  5. Leave the dough covered in a towel to stand in a warmish and dry spot for 3 hours. (The dough needs to double in volume)
  6. Roll out the dough either using a roller or by hand to form disks.
  7. Fry them on the 2 sides until they become nicely golden in colour.
  8. Sprinkle the bunyètes with sugar as soon as they are ready.
